Neal McDonough as Joseph Hooker

The To Appomattox production team just announced that award-winning actor Neal McDonough has joined the cast as Union Major General Joseph Hooker. McDonough is the fourth actor from the acclaimed miniseries Band of Brothers to join the production (following in the footsteps of Jason O’Mara, Damian Lewis and Richard Speight, Jr.). McDonough is best known for his role as Lt. “Buck” Compton from that series. He has starred in a wide-range of film projects, including Captain America: The First Avenger, Minority Report, Star Trek: First Contact and Flags of our Fathers. On television, he has been on such programs as “The X-Files,” “Medical Investigation” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” He currently has a recurring role on the FX series “Justified” (With fellow To Appomattox cast member Nick Searcy).

We here at the fan blog wish to welcome Mr. McDonough to the production, and look forward to his portrayal of “Fighting Joe” Hooker!
